Recently, we shared some thoughts with our co-founder Philipp about Linux and open source. Today, we’d like to introduce you to one of our partners in the United States: Seda Systems.
Seda Systems is an IT Consulting company founded by Mike Seda in 2009 and based in North Carolina. Company performs design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure solutions that primarily involve Linux and Open-source software.
Mike Seda has years of experience with open-source backup tools, starting with Bacula and later moving to Bareos. He deployed backup environments in academic and genomics settings. More recently, he worked on an Electronic Health Records system on AWS, where data protection and availability were essential.
In 2025, Seda Systems became the Bareos Certified Partner. For companies in the U.S., this means there is now a local partner who is familiar with Bareos. Seda Systems can help with setting up backup environments, handling day-to-day support and providing Bareos subscriptions that include updates and security patches.
For Bareos, the partnership expands our reach in the U.S. and gives enterprises a straightforward way to plan and maintain reliable backup strategies with open source.
