Together with our training partners we offer Bareos trainings in English, German and French. Usually workshops are held remotely with virtual lab environment – but can be classroom and onsite as well.

We’re happy to teach our Bareos courses on your premises which is useful when you have several employees who want to learn about our software.

Training worldwide
In cooperation with our partner Proxy Services we offer the Bareos workshops in English and in Dutch. We conduct on-site training in countries around the world. On-site trainings in Berlin (Germany) are usually covered by backup & recovery help, in English or German.

Bareos Administration I
20 hours (usually in 5 sessions)
Learn how to implement the backup solution in your own network and how to manage your backups efficiently.
The contents of the first course are:
- Introduction to Bareos
- Installation
- Basic configuration
- Backup and restore
- Backup schemes/strategies
- Volume Management I: (Backup2Disk)
- Volume LifeCycle Management
- Tools/Utilities
- Disaster Recovery
Bareos Administration II
12 hours (usually in 3 sessions)
These are the contents of the second workshop, which is aimed at advanced users:
- Volume-Management II: (Backup2Disk2Tape)
- Backups on Tape
- Using autoloaders and tape libraries
- Migration and replication (copy-job)
- Synthetic/virtual full backup
- Encryption of data
- Overview of Always Incremental and NDMP
- Up to 2 hours workshop on topics of the participants’ choice
