Together with our training partners, we offer Bareos trainings in English, German, and French. Most trainings are conducted remotely using a virtual lab environment, but on-site sessions can be arranged as well.

We offer Bareos trainings in English and other languages, either online or on-site. Courses can be held at your location or in Berlin. On-site trainings in Berlin (Germany) are covered by backup & recovery help, in English or German.

Training Topics
Bareos Administration I
Duration: 20 hours (usually in 5 sessions)
Learn how to implement the backup solution in your own network and how to manage your backups efficiently.
The first course includes:
- Introduction to Bareos
- Installation
- Basic configuration
- Backup and restore
- Backup schemes/strategies
- Volume Management I: (Backup2Disk)
- Volume LifeCycle Management
- Tools/Utilities
- Disaster Recovery
Bareos Administration II
Duration: 12 hours (usually in 3 sessions)
For advanced users, this training covers additional features and use cases.
The second course includes:
- Volume-Management II: (Backup2Disk2Tape)
- Backups on Tape
- Using autoloaders and tape libraries
- Migration and replication (copy-job)
- Synthetic/virtual full backup
- Encryption of data
- Overview of Always Incremental and NDMP
- Up to 2 hours on participant-requested topics
