The Department of Informatics at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, uses Bareos to secure a three-digit number of Linux and Windows servers in its computer centres.

The Bareos system is running really well. I installed it on two Linux servers and backed up over 92 million files (83 Terabytes!) so far. Some people here in research produce millions and millions of small files – other backup solutions haven’t been able to handle that.
