We have published a new video showing the new Proxmox plugin in Bareos 25.
In the video, we demonstrate how Bareos performs agentless backups and restores of Proxmox guests. We cover both standard Virtual Machines (VMs) and Linux Containers (CTs). You can see full backups of both guest types, followed by complete restores directly back into the Proxmox environment. We also demonstrate flexible recovery options, such as restoring a machine with a new ID to avoid conflicts.
The Proxmox plugin works without an agent inside the VM or CT and connects directly to the Proxmox host. During the backup, QEMU or LXC snapshots are created automatically and removed again when the job finishes.
